logoCroEchoNational accreditation for transthoracic echocardiography is a professional certification of the acquired level of crucial knowledge and skills in echocardiography. To gain accreditation it is necessary to meet the requirements of both theoretical and practical parts. (croecho.kardio.hr/acreditation)

One of the basic intentions of The working group for echocardiography and imaging in cardiology is to encourage and promote necessary level of knowledge and quality in echocardiography and to protect the rights of patients for quality examination and correct diagnosis.

On the Working Group meeting held on 14th March 2013 decision was made to allow colleagues cardiologists one more method to pass the theoretical part. It consists of collecting points through educational contents of the Working Group, which are in line with the basic and necessary contents regulated by the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI). The first approved educational content is The course of basic echocardiography with certification from EACVI - that was held within the conference CroEcho2013.

 

During 2014 new intitive was established by Working Group on Echocardiography and Imging Modalities. It is called "Echo on Wheels" and the idea is to bring experts in echocardiography into Your institutions and organize workshops acoording to Your needs ans whishes.

This workshops end with exam that, if passed, brings You 20 out of 200points for the National accreditation process.

 

In the period of maximum up to four years it is necessary to collect all points.
